The Journey

Gran Canaria is one of Europe's great secrets for cyclists. While the rest of the continent shivers through November and December, this Atlantic island offers warm sun, dry roads and some of the most varied and spectacular cycling terrain on the planet — volcanic climbs that rise above the clouds, coastal roads that hug the ocean, technical descents through ancient landscapes. Professional teams have been training here for decades. Now it's your turn.

This Gran Canaria cycling tour is built around seven days of riding with Daniele Bennati — former professional cyclist and Grand Tour stage winner who has spent his career reading terrain and racing at the highest level. Bennati doesn't just lead the rides. He rides with you, shares his knowledge of pacing, climbing and descending, and brings a perspective on cycling that only comes from years inside the professional peloton.

The routes cover the full range of what makes cycling in Gran Canaria so exceptional. You will climb to the Pico de las Nieves — the highest point on the island — on one of the most demanding and rewarding ascents in the Canaries. You will ride the technical roads of Santa Lucia through volcanic terrain. You will tackle the Ayacata Loop, pedalling above the clouds with views across the Atlantic. And on the final day, you will begin your ride with a private boat transfer to Playa de Mogán before tackling one last spectacular coastal and interior loop.

Between rides, you stay at Anfi Tauro Resort — one of Gran Canaria's finest properties, where post-ride sports massages, spa facilities, gourmet dining and complete logistical support allow you to focus entirely on the riding and the experience.

Every detail is taken care of. Every kilometre is designed. This is the luxury cycling experience in Gran Canaria that serious cyclists have been waiting for.

Available on two selected departures — or as a fully private experience for your group.

Your Experience

Day by day

Day 1 — Arrival & welcome ride
Your team meets you personally at the airport and transfers you to Anfi Tauro Resort — no logistics to think about from the moment you land. After settling in, an exclusive welcome briefing with Daniele Bennati sets the tone for the week: routes, rhythm, expectations. The day ends with a relaxed welcome ride through the Gran Canaria countryside — the first taste of roads that will define the next six days — followed by an aperitivo with the group as the Atlantic sun goes down.

Day 2 — Pico de las Nieves · the iconic climb
~110 km · 2,650 m elevation · shorter option ~60 km / 1,500 m
The defining ride of the week. Departing from Anfi Tauro with Daniele Bennati and full van support, you climb toward the heart of Gran Canaria and the Pico de las Nieves — the highest point on the island. The ascent combines endurance, technique and scenery in equal measure. At the summit, views stretch across the Atlantic in every direction. One of the great climbs in European cycling, experienced from the inside.

Day 3 — Santa Lucía · volcanic terrain
~90 km · 1,800 m elevation · shorter option ~60 km / 1,200 m
A day through the most technical and visually dramatic roads of Gran Canaria's centre-south. The route winds through volcanic landscapes, varied climbs and descents, and the striking terrain surrounding Santa Lucía — a zone that demands both fitness and bike handling skill. Challenging, rewarding and unlike anything available on the European mainland in winter.

Day 4 — Coffee ride along the coast · active recovery
~50–65 km · 600–800 m elevation
After two days of serious climbing, today offers a different rhythm. A relaxed coastal ride along the south of the island — stops at local cafés, ocean views, easy conversation. For those who prefer complete rest, Anfi Tauro's pool, spa and gym are fully available. A day to recover, absorb the week so far, and prepare for what comes next.

Day 5 — Ayacata Loop · above the clouds
~120 km · 2,300 m elevation · shorter option ~90 km / 1,700 m
The most spectacular day of the week. The van transfers you to Ayacata — starting point of a sweeping loop across the northern ridges of Gran Canaria. You pedal above the cloud line, with views across the island and out to the Atlantic. Continuous ascents and descents challenge endurance and technique. The final long descent to Maspalomas is one of the great finishes in island cycling — fast, flowing and completely unforgettable.

Day 6 — Gran Final · boat transfer & coastal loop
~100 km · 1,900 m elevation · shorter option ~70 km / 1,200 m
The final full day begins in the most memorable way possible: a private boat transfer from Puerto Rico to Playa de Mogán, approaching the coast from the sea before the day's ride begins. From Mogán, the route climbs to Los Azulejos and the Mirador de Tasartico — one of the most dramatic viewpoints in the Canaries, above a volcanic landscape that drops to the ocean. A technical descent through Soria brings you back south for a final loop that matches anything the week has produced.

Day 7 — Farewell & departure
After breakfast and check-out at Anfi Tauro, your team transfers you to the airport — every detail of the departure handled, as it has been all week. Seven days of Gran Canaria riding done. The legs are full, the memories are better.
